This month, Amino added more than 420K providers across 21 specialties to our platform.
Members can now use Amino to search for providers like addiction counselors, child psychologists, and family nurse practitioners. This release supports our ongoing commitment to expand our coverage and enable members to find all medical needs with one, intuitive tool.
A focus of recent work was to add to the amount of nurse practitioners and behavioral health specialists already in the platform, reflecting high patient demand and the ability to drive healthcare savings and quality outcomes.
- 325K nurse practitioners: With so many PCPs booking far in advance for crucial preventative care services, adding more than 325K nurse practitioners to Amino helps our members access care much quicker. Reports expect the demand for nurse practitioners to rise 38% by 2030.
- 95K behavioral health providers: Recent studies also highlight the critical need to improve access to addiction counseling and adolescent mental healthcare. The US Department of Health and Human Services reports that 48.7 million people aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year and 49.5% of all adolescents have had a mental illness in their lifetime. This release adds more than 95K behavioral health providers across addiction services and adolescent care to our platform to support those in need.
This release is a part of an ongoing project to expand our coverage of medical services. Stay tuned for our next product release as we continue to improve the healthcare experience for our members.
