Introducing Amino Rx Savings Review

Amino Health, the leading digital healthcare guidance platform, today announced the launch of Amino Rx Savings Review, a new capability that gives employers the unprecedented ability to identify and realize up to 10% savings on pharmacy spend, which is over $140 in annual savings per employee.

The best part? Both employers and employees save, without any change to the medication or care the employee receives.

Employers face exploding medication costs

Medication costs have increased from 21% to 27% of healthcare spend since 2021 alone. And over 76% of employers are “very concerned” about pharmacy costs, according to the Business Group on Health.

Most of the attention on pharmacy spend has rightly focused on GLP-1s. But medication costs have increased across the board, and there are growing opportunities to decrease spend through discount programs.

Our partnership with GoodRx

To help employers tackle this challenge, Amino has partnered with GoodRx, the leading platform for prescription discounts. GoodRx discounts beat insurance prices for 37% of the most common medications, which means there is an enormous opportunity for self-insured employers to reduce cost both for their employees and their own benefits spend.

Through our unique partnership, we identify savings opportunities; implement discounts for eligible employees; and build discounts and customized medication guidance directly into our platform to drive savings on a go-forward basis.

How it works

Step 1. Our employer partner provides their pharmacy claims file. Amino leverages our proprietary algorithm to identify savings opportunities for both employers and patient out-of-costs.
Step 2. Amino engages with eligible members to enroll in our program. We facilitate every step of the process, making it easy for employees and zero effort for HR teams.
Step 3. Amino launches our customized Guidance platform to all employees, incorporating discounts, formulary rules, and high quality information to help employers contain costs going forward.

When eligible employees receive a discount through the Amino platform, employer costs for that prescription go to $0, and employees save too.
