What’s new?
Amino now displays cost estimates for common services on all provider profiles and adds new professional services to our search functionality.
To display only the most applicable information, cost estimates shown on provider profiles will vary by provider type. For example, a primary care provider’s profile will show cost estimates for services such as an established patient office visit or annual physical, while a cardiologist’s profile will show estimates for an EKG test or bypass surgery.
Members can now search by these topics as well. For example, a member can perform a search for a topic such as “annual physical” and see results for providers that perform this type of service. For broad searches like “office visit,” a member can filter the results by provider type. Once on a provider’s profile, a member will see encounter-level cost estimates for this service with their health plan for a more accurate depiction of actual cost of care.
Why did we make these updates?
Professional services, like an office visit with a primary care provider, account for 50% of the searches in Amino and a majority of appointments booked with our platform. This release expands our cost estimates to these provider profiles to create additional value where members are using Amino the most.
