Amino recently released new gender affirming care topics to the platform. Members can now search for gender affirming hormone therapy and gender affirming procedures to find the most experienced in-network providers for their unique care needs.
Why did we make these updates?
Healthcare disparities for the LGBTQ+ community are widespread and negatively impact the quality and accessibility of care for this population. Over 15 percent of LGBTQ+ adults reported discrimination in healthcare encounters, and more than one in eight live in states where healthcare professionals can legally refuse to treat them.
While these healthcare disparities require systemic change, this latest product release empowers individuals with more information to better navigate the healthcare system.
